Ali Croft a Bideford and Barnstaple based personal trainer, specialising in weight loss and improving your fitness. Work with me and together we'll achieve your fitness goals.
Living a healthy and active lifestyle has always been important to me, and from a young age I have been involved in a range of activities including horse riding, running, dancing, hockey and athletics. I now run regularly and take part in a variety of challenge events from assault courses to climbing mountains.
I believe that exercise should be enjoyable as that makes it easier to stick to. I'm qualified to teach a range of activities including circuits, indoor cycling, kettlebells and mixed martial arts, and incorporate elements of these into my sessions to keep them varied and fun.
Before becoming a personal trainer I spent close to ten years working in the fast-paced environment of Media and PR. Despite my passion for exercise I found it hard to maintain my healthy lifestyle and exercise regime due to the pressures of work and home. However, by making gradual changes I was able to obtain a better work/life balance, which actually made me more productive at work.
Due to my experiences I fully understand the potential barriers to exercise and eating well that work and family pressures can bring, and therefore provide ongoing support to my clients to help them overcome these.
My qualifications include:
Level 3 Personal TrainerPre and Post Natal FitnessNutrition and Weight ManagementTraining in Different EnvironmentsAdvanced Functional Training and Movement AnalysisClient Lifestyle and Fitness Appraisal (inc. Lifestyle and Stress Management)Postural Analysis and Core StabilityAdvanced flexibility
I am a member of the Register of Exercise Professionals (Membership No. R0077782) and I'm emergency first aid qualified.
I hold full public liability insurance.
I've lived in Bideford & Barnstaple for the past year with my husband, our two cats and our dog Molly.
When I'm not at the gym you can find me catching up with friends, walking in the countryside, horse riding or at the cinema.
